Mission

  • We commit to manufacture the best quality trolley buses - to our satisfaction and to our Customers' satisfaction!
  • We will continually strive to meet the changing needs of our customers!
  • We will provide an atmosphere that encourages employee teamwork integrity and excellence!
  • Our Mission is to exceed our customers' and employees' expectations and maintain their loyalty for a lifetime!

Our first trolley was built in 1978. From the start, our reputation was built upon an ability to combine modern mass transit capabilities with a nostalgic style reminiscent of the 1900's. This meant our buses performed well and looked even better - with quality old-fashioned craftsmanship we use materials like red oak or mahogany  trim, vintage cast aluminum seat ends, brass railings, and other ornate detailing to construct a solid product with the same handcrafted quality as years ago .

In fact, every Hometown Trolley is custom-built by skilled craftsmen to the precise specifications of our customers. This allows us to accommodate any application, from small private touring companies to major city transportation networks.

Today, under the guiding vision of Kristina Pence-Dunow along with her husband Joe Dunow and son Dustin Pence, Double K, Inc. is an innovative industry leader with a nationwide dealer network. Our trolley buses can be found working all over the country, as well as in Canada, Puerto Rico, Central America, and South America.

Double K, Inc. is a member of APTA, CTAA, NEPTA, UITP, and other national and international transportation associations. We have all models through the Altoona testing facility at Penn State and have several Canada Transport Approved models.
